Swing Kitchen from Ghent
Meet Swing Kitchen from Ghent (Belgium) on Friday at Midsummerhop Münster! A band that mixes traditional ingredients in its own unique way.
They serve up powerful vocals on a bed of driving rhythm and crazy piano jumps, seasoned with popping sax lines and a pinch of humor. Their music will have everyone dancing and tapping their feet uncontrollably.
Enjoy the stew of classics and forgotten vegetables that they serve up!

Gramophoniacs from Saarbrücken
Gramophoniacs, that means: bobbing feet, nodding heads - wicked clubs and bars, dazzling halls and rooms - soft sounds and loud grooves - other times, in the here and now - a band of musicians who live for swing in all its facets!
The repertoire of the Saarbrücken band covers all facets of swing music, from Dixieland to blues, from old classics of the golden twenties to well-known jazz standards of the 1940s and rocking dirty swing.

DJ Tobi from Ghent/Wuppertal
Tobi is a passionate ambassador of swing music and is known for his energetic sets, which include a
mix of swing jazz and rhythm 'n' blues, but also funk and soul.
With his infectious energy and deep appreciation for the genre, he has made a lasting impression at festivals such as BRUX, Upsidedown and the Belgrade Swingin Exchange.

Hot Soup from Cologne
Randy aka Hot Soup doesn't just play music, he lives it.
Inspired by legends like Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Johnny Hodges, his sets are a fresh, soulful mix of swing and different jazz styles.
From festivals like Herräng, ILHC Europe, Dragon Swing to his project The Night Train in Cologne, Hot Soup brings people together through music and dance.

DJ Peter Burns from Münster
Peter Burns (Shoeshine Swing Salon) is a pioneer of Münster's Lindy and non-profit event scene.
The first evening Lindy Hop Social Dance (Luna Bar, 2007) can be traced back to him and we have him to thank for numerous swing concerts.
Both, his parties and his DJ sets are always good for a surprise.

DJane Ingrid from Münster
The swing poet: She loved swing and blues music before she discovered that you can dance to it.
As a DJ, she enjoys making excursions into blues, funk and soul or to new bands that develop swing further - danceability, musicality, variety and, of course, the groove are the common denominators that matter to her. Ingrid doesn't just DJ, she creates moods, tells stories and connects people on the dance floor in a musical flow.

A charming great behind the DJ booth:
Aunt Polly inspires with colorful, powerful sets of New Orleans, rhythm & blues and traditional tunes.
No sooner had she discovered her passion for balboa than she launched her own party format, “Balboa Night”, in 2024. When she plays, musical variety and depth are guaranteed; her sets are always irresistibly danceable.

Der Verein Be lindy! e.V. wurde 2018 gegründet, um die Organisation des ersten Swing Exchange in Münster auf sichere Füße zu stellen. Im Juni 2019 durften wir ein wundervolles Wochenende mit tanzbegeisterten Gästen aus nah und fern verbringen – die ultimative Midsummerhop Münster-Premiere!
